We manage the ascent easily and easily with the Gosaukamm cable car. In a few minutes we have completed the most strenuous part of this tour with the cable car. On the well-developed network of paths, this tour takes us past the Gablonzerhütte and the Sonnenalm to Russbach in just under 3 hours.
The alpine pastures and mountain huts along the way are open from June to September and the dairymaids serve excellent, homemade cheese specialities. This makes this family-friendly hike across the border from Upper Austria to Salzburg a double pleasure.
Once you arrive in Russbach, the Hornbahn takes you down to the valley in a simple and uncomplicated way.

Our tip: Plan enough time for this hike and inquire in advance of the tour about the return options by bus. Especially on weekends, the connections can be thinned out.
