Heavy continuous rain. It will remain very cloudy and it will rain from morning to night. This makes flooding and mudslides possible. On the mountains it will be deep winter, temporarily it can snow up to 600m. This creates a risk of snow breakage and also increases the risk of avalanches. There will be strong winds from west to northwest, and there will be squalls on the mountains. The temperatures remain well below average for September, the highs only 5 to 10 degrees. At 1500m altitude it is around 0 degrees.

It remains wet and very windy with many clouds. In the eastern half of Upper Austria, it is already raining in the morning, in some cases heavily. To the west, a few dry hours are also possible at first, before the rain becomes more from about noon. The snow line rises to about 1400m altitude. Initially strong to stormy westerly wind, in the afternoon it will ease somewhat. With 7 to 13 degrees, it is a little less fresh than recently. At 1500m altitude by plus 1 degree.

On Monday it will continue to rain, in some cases there are likely to be larger amounts of rain. The danger of mudslides and flooding remains! Snow falls above 1200m, to the north it is also above 2000m altitude. The westerly wind will decrease, but will still be strong at times. The temperatures will change little, highs: 8 to 12 degrees.

In the night to Tuesday, some heavy rain and snowfall will fall again as far as the Mittelgerbirge.

I'm coming to Hallstatt in February – what will the weather be like? Our editorial department receives these and other questions regarding the weather, on a daily basis. For this reason we have compiled some information for you below: Between June and early September is midsummer in the region. We recommend light and airy clothes, bathing suits and of course an umbrella. Because without rain, it is not a summer. In the months of September to the end of November it is Autumn in the Salzkammergut. Warm clothing is required; non-slip footwear and the obligatory umbrella should be in your luggage.
