The newly constructed children´s adventure playground directly under the new panorama terrace and viewing balcony of the grünberg almwill give children of all ages playful fun. A further highlight for large and small is the all new low slack line area situated directly next to the adventure playground. The slack line area consists of 10 obstacle stations using ropes, wooden boards and bridges and much more. The hiking path for all generations around the Grünbergalm: Plateau is ideal for all ages. In no time at all, the path will lead you to nice view points from where you can enjoy the superb panoramic views of the Lake Traunsee area.
The new Grünberg Mountain
A green idyllic spot high above the town of Gmunden. High above the picturesque town of Gmunden, the Grünberg Mountain invites you to a stress less natural experience with its 20 Km of marked hiking trails, knowledge trails and cosy inns and lodges. From June 2014 the new Grünberg mountain cable car will comfortably bring you up to the 1.000 meter high peak, from where you can start the easy and partially barrier free hiking trails to Lake Laudachsee or for the more experienced hikers up the Traunstein Mountain.
During the cable car ride up the mountain you can enjoy the magnificent views of Gmunden, Lake Traunsee and the prominent peaks of the Höllengebirge mountain range the Traunstein mountain - the guardian of the Salzkammergut. A nature trail with many interesting stations and cute carved wooden figures will lead you from the cable car mountain station to Lake Laudachsee in about 1 hour. Easy lessons for large and small. At Lake Laudachsee the Ramsau lodge invites you to regional specialities or you can just relax and be inspired by the idyllic landscapes of the Grünberg Mountain whilst letting your feet soak in the lake. For experienced hikers you can continue with the trail over the Hohe Scharte, the mooralm lodge onto the Hoisn inn. From there you can take a boat back to Gmunden.

Hiking paths around the Grünberg mountain
The hiking path for all generations around the Grünberg Alm plateau is ideal for all ages. In no time at all, the path will lead you to nice view points from where you can enjoy the superb panoramic views of the Lake Traunsee area. The hiking path was constructed wide enough to enable barrier free movement, thus allowing wheel chairs and disabled persons the possibility of enjoying the superb views from the plateau of the Grünberg Mountain. Also ideal for families with push chairs.
Hiking path to a point of happiness – Hochgeschirr
The hiking path over the point of happiness Hochgeschirr is a variant of the nature trail from the Grünberg Mountain plateau via the Radmoos crossing to Lake Laudachsee. The hiking path invites you to relax, tank up on life energy and be happy, using one of two rocking deck chairs positioned on the path up to the Hochgeschirr. This will make the rest of you tours the more easier.
