Climbing halls in the Salzkammergut
Climbing and bouldering in the Salzkammergut
Indoor fun all year round
Whether spring, summer, autumn or winter - Indorr climbing is always in season in the Salzkammergut. Especially when the weather is not at its best.
For sport climbers, a climbing gym is not only an option in bad weather. A climbing hall offers you constant conditions all year round and is particularly suitable for training purposes.
But beginners are also in good hands in the climbing hall. There are beginner's courses where you can learn everything about belaying techniques and get your first taste of the mountain air under controlled conditions. To ensure that it doesn't get boring, the routes are readjusted at regular intervals.
Climbing gyms for every requirement
Most climbing halls in the Salzkammergut also offer great surroundings. You can enjoy a shower directly after sports and exchange ideas about the climbed routes in the gastronomy. Many climbing gyms also have a bouldering room.
Safe in the climbing gym
Sovereign belaying and perfect handling of the belay device is a prerequisite for your registration when climbing independently, which is necessary in almost every climbing gym. For your own safety, certain rules must be followed in the climbing hall.
Compared to other sports, indoor climbing is relatively safe. However, mistakes when belaying or climbing can have fatal consequences. Since you climb in a confined space, consideration for others is particularly important in the climbing hall. When belaying, the absolute concentration on your own climbing partner is the top priority. Never forget to check your partner even in the climbing gym! Therefore, read the climbing rules of the Austrian Alpine Club.
