Dear cycling friends, as is well known, many roads lead to Rome. There are numerous entry points on the following tour. When it came to the directions, we opted for the variant with the starting point in the center of the World Heritage Site.

We start in the Bahnhofstraße in Bad Goisern at the market town office and drive in the direction of the market square. Turn left immediately after the municipal office and continue straight on for about 950 m. At the zebra crossing we cross the Salzkammergut main road (B145) and drive uphill on asphalt in the direction of Vivea Gesundheitshotel. At the roundabout (km 1.4) we take the second exit and then drive steeply uphill for about 600 m to Posern.Im Bad Goiserer district "Posern" (km 2.0) we turn right and follow the steep cart path through the forest. This leads us uphill in several curves. After about 1 km we reach a hairpin bend to the left and reach the connecting path from the Rathluckenalm to the Ewige Wand (km 3.2).

We follow the cart path and after about 1.4 km we reach the forest road (km 4.6) to the reading hotel. Barrier and descent: Shortly after the reading hotel, continue on the forest road that leads uphill after the barrier (km 4.9). After about 300 m we turn right into Rehmöser Straße (km 5.2). After about 3 km we reach another junction that leads us down to a cart path (km 8.2). The steep descent leads us to the picturesque Kriemoosalm, where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Dachstein.

The way back

After the Kriemoosalm it continues downhill and finally over asphalted goods roads back to Bad Goisern.
